Chemical Imbalance?
Since we have our chitlins fixed funny, we can get chemical imbalances, right?
I have noticed a dry skin problem. Especially on my face. Now, I am a swarthy, olive skinned Arab, full of the juices of life but for some reason I'm drying out. Because of my genetic make up I should be as greasy as a piece of KFC (Jon, any input?).
Hold on to you bladders Manly Men of WLS. I use a Mary Kay product to counter this problem and make me kissably fresh but damn, it's getting hard to keep up with.
Ladies, any ideas? And yes I drink a lot of water. And no, I'm not going to drink pop, Jay.

Kevin,
Quit spewing all that hot air, all it does is dry you out. .
Seriously though have you got the humidifer on for the furnace? This is Michigan in the winter. My skin really dries out in the winter. I have to put lotion on as soon as I dry off, even slightly. Got a neat roller that lets me do my back and legs from Bed, Bath and Beyond. You walk past the store a couple of times when you walk the crossing. I had to use the roller last year for my legs but don't have to use it this year...........
Going into the pool doesn't help much either. But then there is the steam room after...
There are other products besides Mary Kay. I like Aveeno and Lubriderm.

Hey KP, my husband has the same problem in the winter. I finally talked him into
using a body butter from Bath & Body Works. It has no scent & is expensive but it will last a long time. It's called too shea 100% shea butter balm. It works great! Bath & Body Works has a mens section too. For all those "manly men"

The Body butter from The body shop is good just as the last person's response. My niece (she's 7 and in my photos looking goofy) has eczema and her skin just cracks and bleeds without this body butter. Even prescription stuff didn't hold a candle to this butter. I use the shea butter it has a clean smell because I fake and bake. I like the coconut one for summer. Have fun primping! Isn't it fun??? LOL Down 19 Kp isn't that awesome? I feel fantastic and people are beginning to notice and say things to me. I do miss my barcardi and diet coke though when everyone else is partying. Oh well I don't need alcohol to have a good time I am buzzed on LIFE with out pain and being out of breath. God is Good! Jackie
I actually allowed a bit more fat (previously virtually zero) into my diet and it has helped.
but spring will help more!
I use Oil of Olay sensitive on my face, and there are drugstore brands that have the same ingredient list, if you want to be cheap like me.
Eucerin Calming Creme (Cream) wasn't expensive and has no scent. I like the little girl scratching her back with the violin bow in their commercial. It helps. So does not getting too warm. So would a trip to CA.
my nutritionist in florida swore that i was because i don't drink enough water. not sure she's right. and why would you want to drink your dad? try some soda.
in any case i've tried everything from Aveena to Burt's Bees to Udder Cream. Finally i stole Mel's body butter and it works where nothing else did. Don't know what's in it that's so much better than all those other expensive products but it works and it works well.
I see other people are posting about body butter too. The only problem i have is the stuff i took smells like chocolate and it makes me hungry!
