Beaverton/Gladwin Area

Is there anyone out there near the Beaverton/Gladwin area? Looking for a local support group to attend. Thanks! Kelly

Hi Kelly, I live in Hope, I m not sure if you know where that is but if not it is between Sanford and Edenville. I may be interested in a support group. I am a year out and haven't really ever been to a support group. I usually just count on my friends on this message board. Please post if you find one that is local. Hello Jennifer! I do know where Hope is. I actually don't live too far from there. I had my surgery in Alma in Sept. They have a support group, but it is so far to drive for an hour long meeting. I am going there this week to an exercise meeting. I want to develop a good workout. I am down 55 so far and want to continue the downward slide of the scale. I tried to read your profile, but nothing is there. How have you done since surgery? It is great finding someone so close. Keep in touch!!!! Kelly

Hi Kelly, Congrats on the 55 pounds lost!!!!!!!!!! Thats great!!!! I know my profile isn't showing up....... I don't know how to transfer my old profile to my new profile and I am waiting for someone to help me with it. When it comes to computer stuff I am not too smart. LOL Hopefully my profile will be up again soon......I miss being able to update in it. I had my surgery one year ago on November 29 at Henry Ford and I am down 116 pounds. I think my aunt is having her surgery done in Alma on December 12. Please let me know if you find a local support group. The closest one that I know of is Bay City and that is to far for me especially on these roads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL Your WLS Pal, Jennifer V.

Hey Kelly.... I'm in Midland, so not too far away... I normally go to the Bay City support group when I can make it, unfortunately recently that hasn't happened to often...I do miss the support.. we really do go through some very UNIQUE things after WLS... Best Wishes... Erin

Highjack!!! Hey girl!! Buy any new shoes yet???? Its the holidays and just another reason to buy some new clothes!!! Had to buy a Christmas dress and of course NEW SHOES!!!! Looking for a coat and purse next. Going to Vegas in January and gotta go in style ya know!! : Happy Holidays!
