7 years post-ops, any long termers?
Its my anniversary Dec. 1999. Gain 30lbs. no dumping anymore, have to count calories, its hard was maintaining 1600 a day but now i'm going to 1800 and my weight is up to 185lbs. I do not work now, have problems not related to RNY proximal. When i did work i had control over my eating, grazing! Would like to hear from long term post-ops. ANYONE OUT THERE?
Hi Jane,
Congrats on your anniversary.
I am only one year out and gainning weight is always on my mind. I am always worried about it. I still need to lose a bit more. Do you mind me asking how much you have lost and is the 30 pounds that you said you gained is that over the 7 years out?
I know what you mean about grazing, it is a problem for me also.
Best of luck to you!!!!!!!!
Your WLS Pal,
Jennifer V.

Hi jennifer, I started at 240lbs, lost very slowly 25lbs. at 6wks.appt. only about 5lbs a month. I got down to 150lbs. size 8 for about 3years...then i broke my foot was off of work for 2 months, got COPD very bad and the pound came on without me noticing.... it started about 5 year post-0p. I don't eat very much protein, eat alittle sugar. i have to stare my self to lose.....ha. Take Care, and good Luck...jane
