Why cant I lose weight?
I'm not sure how your surgery works but since your stomach is intact I would believe that hunger never goes away? I have never felt hunger since my surgery two and a half years ago. You have a restrictive type of surgery where you can only eat so fast and in limited quantities, right? RNY people have the bypass element also and that helps us. I would suggest looking to the lap band board for some ideas. There was a guy on the main board named dirk that was pretty successful with a band. Do a search under that name and see if he has any ideas.
Good luck.

Are you eating too little? Perhaps your body is in starvation mode and not ready to give up the fat stores because you arent providing it enough protein and nutrients it needs to survive.
Also it is typical to hit plateaus after surgery...not sure if its the same with LapBand but with the DS, VG and RNY...usually 3-4 months out and again at 6-7 months another at the year+ mark and so on. Just have to keep up with the water, exercise, and protein and eventually the weight loss will kickstart again.
Its definitely hard to see the weight loss slow/stop and easy to believe that we are the one surgery isnt going to work for...but believe me...it does. Just keep positive thoughts and it will work out.
