Holiday Weight Gain??
Am I the only one that gained weight during the holiday? I haven't seen anyone else post about it. I gained 2.2 pounds over the holiday. I tried to be careful. I watched my portions. I found myself busy shopping and forgetting to eat but I made up for it other days. I stayed away from all the sweets and snack foods. I don't get it. I upped my protein intake yesterday and hopefully this weight will start falling off again. O yeah...I am 3 months out today!! I have lost a total of 65 pounds and I feel wonderful.

Stacey,
I wouldn't be so upset about a 2.2 weight gain. Besides, it is quite possible you gained MUSCLE instead of fat ok????
Remember: Muscle weighs more than fat.....so give yourself a break and a pat on the back and don't worry about it. That's better than gaining 5 lbs, or 10, 15 or 20!! OK??????
and you're doing an awesome job!!!!!!!!! so dont fret the small stuff!!!!
feeling wonderful and being 3 months out having lost 65 pounds?
WOW. I mean WOWOWOWOOWWOOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!
Great work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I applaud you!!!

It appears to me like that 2.2 pounds should be celebrated. Why, you ask? It least for me, being worried about a few pounds gained was the first time in a LONG time that weight gain even mattered to me. Ask yourself when the last time you got very worried over gaining 2.2 lbs? If it bothers you, you've made the mental switch. With that said, you can gain 2.2 lbs from many sources. I wouldn't worry about it at all. If you keep away from carbs, walk and get in your protein, you will keep losing. I applaud your 65 lb. weight loss. When was the last time you lost 65 lbs in three months? Do I hear a "never"? Don't be so hard on yourself and keep plugging away. You've made the mental switch. Time to keep plugging away and the rest of the weight will come off.

I am betting that it's water weight. Being busy probably made you forget to drink enough water......when you don't drink enough your body holds onto what it has stored. Also, i have always gone up and down 5 pounds right from about where you're at now. I am really proud of how you're keeping with it mentally and making sure you're doing all the right things. Up your water, and keep doing everything else you've done. 65 pounds is a great loss for three months, congrats.

Hi Stacey,
Gaining weight, is gaining weight no matter what the amount is, and that can make you feel bad about yourself. Look how well you have done, and try not to let this get to you. We all have our moments and will gain some weight at some time in this journey. The important thing is that you realize that you need to get yourself back on the right path. Are you writing down what you are eating, and how much? How is your fluid intake? You will be fine if you are careful. I have to send out this warning though~STAY AWAY FROM THE BAD CARBS.~THEY ARE DANGEROUS!!! Once you start eating them your body may start to crave them, and it's very hard to stop eating them!!! That's not a habit you want to form at three months out. Best wishes to you.
God bless,
Annette
Hey Stacey - I gained over Thanksgiving too. It was probably from not drinking or eating correctly. I too found myself not drinking and busy shopping and all that. My schedule just got all wacked out. But now I'm back on schedule and back to where I was before. Congratulation on your 3 months and the awesome weight loss!!!
