Now thats a protein drink
1 pk. swiss miss diet milk chocolate (hot chocolate)
1 scoop any whey protein powder
6 oz. warm water
1 tsp. Smuckers S.F. Hot fudge topping
1 Tbsp. F.F. french vanilla flavored coffee creamer by International delight
Folgers flavors Hazelnut Decaf coffee
In a 16 oz (or larger) coffee mug mix hot chocolate and protein powder until well blended. Add 6oz warm water, mix well, be sure all power is dissolved. Microwave about 1 minute or until it's hot enough for you. Stir in hot fudge topping into drin****il melted. Add creamer. Fill remainder of mug with fresh brewed Hazelnut Decaf. If desired top with 1 tablespoon cool whip free. Sip and enjoy. If you add the cool whip it has 140 calories and 19 grams of protein.
God bless,
Annette
Oh now were talking my kind of protein drink!!! I live on this. Although I get the Nestles Low Carb hot chocolate mix. I have added the hazelnut creamer but never thought about the hot fudge topping or cool whip. I also use Designer whey vanilla (that can replace the vanilla creamer). I put in 1 1/2 scoops for 30 grams of protein and drink away.
YUM YUM - sounds WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!
Hugs,
laurie
Hi Annette!
How are you? Glad to see that you are doing better. Sounds like a good drink. Let me tell you my little concoction I have come up with. I brew my coffee. I measure 2 cups brewed coffee in blender, 2 pkgs sf protein hot cocoa (30 grams ttl), splash of flax oil (omega 3) and a splash of what ever kind of flavored creamer you like and I mix in blender. Love it! I do this every morning now. I drink it in my car on my way to work. I've done it w/ chocolate protein powder - I like the hot cocoa - has more chocolate taste. You can't even taste the flax oil. By the time I get to the hospital, I feel like I'm bouncing off the walls. It's great! Lots of pep in my step! LOL!!!
Take care,
Carey
Hi Annette,
Well I think you should listen to your body and get your rest. You've been through a lot lately. My Mom gets the protein cocoa for me. She gets it at Medical Weight Loss. It is SF and high in protein. But if you can add cocoa to your protein powder, I would try that - sounds cheaper!
Take care,
Carey
Okay, folks, I'm trying to get the word out here about cocoa.
I don't know why other people haven't tried this yet. I discovered it about a year ago when my favorite chocolate protein powder changed its formula. It didn't taste as chocolatey to me anymore. Add cocoa powder to your protein powders. Then you won't need to buy SF hot cocoa mixes. I add 1 Tbs. or more sifted Nestle's Dark Dutch Processed cocoa or Ghiradelli cocoa to my chocolate protein powder, mix with a little cold water to get all the lumps out, and then fill mug with very warm water. Either of these cocoa powders can be found in the baking section of the grocery store.
I often add cinnamon, or another flavored syrup to the mug. Very easy, very yummy, no added sugar. I drink this every day.
Try cocoa powder.
