home from the hospital

Well, after almost two weeks off in and out of the hospital I am home after a very painful twisted bowel. Ouchy! Spent 4 days in the hosptal, relasaed at 4:30 and was back in ER by 11:30 that night. Ouchy! Spent 7 days in the hospital again to have surgery. Cut is long and is right on top of my RNY surgery cut. Have 26 staples, and feel like I am starting over again. The scales say I have gained 5 pounds, but know that after not eating for two weeks, I must have lost something. Hugs to everyone *****sponded to my fiance"s post for support....he was a lost puppy when I was in the hosptial, and found comfort in your posts. I had the pleasure of having Shawn as a roommate while in Hurley, and hope that she is continuing to progress well. Hope all is well with everyone.. Tracey D

You sound like you are doing pretty well Tracey... It was a pleasure being your roomie while in the hospital. Within half an hour of you leaving I had a new roomie... but I left just a couple hours later. Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. You will be glad to know that yesterday I got in all my protien... I am not sure about the fluids, but I think I am doing pretty good. The nausea is completely gone now, I don't even need the meds... Wooo Hooo.... I am having a hard time choking down those crushed pills though... I am going to the store today to get me some chewable pepcid, those pills are horid. Well, I am glad you are home and I hope your man is feeling a bit more comfort now that you are home. I hope you are feeling better soon and back to your old self.... OH.. and you looked wonderful when you were leaving!!!!!! Good luck to you my friend.... Shawn M.
