help feeling alone anyone from east lansing area?
I have lap band hoping to find other bandsters have not had anyone to really compare or talk with, about what to expect its been kinda lonely.

Thank you so much for your email it was so nice to hear from else that has been banded I have not had anyone else to compare or talk to. I am 6 weeks post op Tomorrow I had my surgery September 28 and I just had my first fill on November 17th so I too will be eating mushy foods for Thanksgiving Thursday is my final day than I can go back to solids. Ive lost 26lbs thus far it went really fast the first 4 weeks than it really slowed down and I hit a plateau for about 2 weeks and than had my fill so hopefully it will continue to go downhill. I go to the YMCA to work out 3 times a week but kickboxing sounds like a lot of fun. I sepnd alot of time doing laps in the pool and than getting on the bike for 30 minutes. I would love to hear of your experiences or if you have any questions you can email me too it would just be wonderful to talk to another banded person. I have one child he is 11 years old, I am a single divorced mom, and I struggled with my weight after having a child I was pretty lucky in my younger years but it has been really hard In my late 20's I developed a thyroid problem my starting weight before surgery was 261lbs and and now down to 235lbs I cannot wait until it says 199 I think I will scream with joy. I was alway's about 145lbs and my whole family is all tall and skinny so Im kind of the outcast right now, I feel like. My family is very supportive especially my mom.
