Ready, Set, EAT!!!
Oh my gosh - I'm laughing SO HARD!
Fortunately I am blessed to have a VERY understanding family. My mother in law had RNY 2 years ago, and 2 of the aunts and a grandma dont eat sugar now either....so I've got it made. PLUS all the men are total PIGS and are more than happy to eat the portions that are left from my MIL and myself.
I want to wish everyone luck and say - Be true to yourself!!!!
Enjoy the time with friends and family - I've found its so much more rewarding now that I'm not thinking about the FOOD all the time!
Hugs

I did very well yesterday. I put about a 4 ounce portion of the moistest turkey ever on my plate. I ladled about an ounce of gravy over it, made with broth and a package mix instead of drippings and flour. I placed 3 TBS mashed potatoes, the same of green bean casserole, and stuffing on the plate. I added one deviled egg, made with light mayo. About 45 minutes later, the turkey portion and the deviled egg was gone, but the potatoes, stuffing, and beans remained on the plate mostly untouched. The dog loves my new eating habit, to say the least. About 2 hours later, I sliced my son's favorite...chocolate pie with cool whip. This year, I made it with sugar free pudding and bought fat free cool whip lite...only 4 grams sugar per 2 TBS. I enjoyed that pie for the next 20 minutes. Surprisingly, my son loved it too. It felt so good to go to bed this thanksgiving night NOT feeling full and sick from overeating. I had a bit of everything except sweet potatoes(EWWWWW) and was completely satisfied. I even had a couple of bites of fruit salad with marshmallows. I didn't get sick, and only got a little sweaty from the sugary marshmallows. I knew that would happen so I was careful about how much of it I ate...3 bites. That's all I needed. I thank God for this WLS thing. I know now that I -AM- in control. Happy Holidays to all and thiers.
