A gracious THANK YOU to all of you
I've come a long way in my WLS journey. I started out at 310 lbs back a few years ago. I am now down to 161at present and wearing clothes I never thought I could fit in to. I have walked mile after mile, jogged, and began to take horse back riding lessons and began to work with one of my favorite animals that brings great joy to my world-- horses.
In the past month I had an abdominoplasty and became flat tummied and thinner and am seeing parts of myself (though not too appealing right now due to swelling and bruising!)...that I never thought I would see.
I've encountered trials as we all do, lost a parent, hardships, and happiness beyond anything I've ever dreamed.
The one thing I hadn't counted on was the kindness and generosity of you fine wonderful friends on www.obesityhelp.com.
I want to take a moment out of my journey to thank the following people along with many more of you (too many to name but you know who you are) for being SO wonderfully supportive and contributing to my well being and success. I honestly don't know that I would be where I am today without YOUR support and friendship.
First and foremost, to my angel, and dear dear friend, Debbie Miers.
From the moment we took on being angels to each other, you have created much joy in my life by coming to see me at work.
Second to Phyllis Gilbert & Melissa Leighton, who taught me that a great pair of sunglasses really can make the world more fun. And for being great to come visit!!!
To Just_Jane for your kindness, hospitality, caring for me and my Mom during and after my surgery, and for just being a great friend.
You have gone above and beyond what I ever expected and I want you to know how much I appreciate all you have done for myself and my Mom!
To Carey Poisson, words cannot express my gratitude for all that you have done for me and brought into my life by creating the meaning "dedicated and devoted" to a wonderful surgeon who took my life into his hands and created a body I can live with forever.
To Toni Reese, for taking time out of your life to come be with me back in April when I went to Bay City, and spending time coaching me on the successes of Dr. DiNick.
To Dawn V, who sent me a personal email that truly brought more than tears of joy to my eyes in your words. you have no idea how that made me feel and I cheri**** dearly.
And finally, to everyone here. Everyone. Your support has been so warming and kind, and the posts that follow what I write shows how much you care and show concern over someone you have never met.
Someday I hope to meet all of you, and give you a warm hug for all that you have said and done while I'm nearing the end of my journey.
I want to say thank you because often times we get wrapped up in life and don't stop long enough to thank those who have meant a great deal in our lives.
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. This board has truly made a difference in my life and it is because of all of you that I have come this far.....
With warm hugs and generous thanks to one and all.
