Why can't I eat?

I still have so much nausea every time I eat. I had a very small stricture taken care of and that didn't help. I have had an upper GI and everything is fine. I eat and I get so sick. Dry heaves and feel like I eat exactly what I am supposed to. I watch sugar and fats. I just would love to be able to eat without feeling like crap for an hour. I have lost 58 lbs in 11 weeks. I am weak, and don't have a lot of energy. Any suggestions? I can tolerate bananas, and salad in very small portions. Beef is out of the question, and I am so sick of chicken I can't go there. Water makes me ill.

Do you drink protein? Can you eat eggs or cottage cheese? This is what i lived on for months. I don't suggest you doing meat now either, i didn't til four months out as my nut didn't allow it. Make some ground turkey and add taco seasoning , then melt cheese on it and eat that with salsa. or get some spaghetti sauce and melt mozzarella on that . the bad foods always go down easier, maybe thats cause that was all we ate pre op, who knows. As for the water, you must get it in somehow. Sometimes just making it warmer or colder works. Can you drink crystal light or sf kool aid? tropicana has a sf fruit punch, and minute maid has sf drinks too. I too got weak, and lost most of my muscle and am still trying to get back my strength. Have you tried deli meats ? Hugs Linda

That all sounds familiar. I took a long time before it smoothed out for me. I found I was waiting to long between eats. It made sense and as soon as I just decided to frequent my intake it got better. Small amounts eaten over a long time more frequently helped. Have you tried the refried beans deal?? kp
