Has anyone used Dr. M. Wood from the Cori Center in Warren, MI

I have just been given my surgery date, and would like to know if anyone has had surgery at Harper Hospital by Dr. Wood from Cori in Warren. If so, how was your experience?

Dr. Wood did my surgery in April. He's great and I had no problems with recovery. I had mine open so I don't know about the lap procedures. The only problem I had was with the surgical drain, it stayed in for 21 days. Jeanne

HE did my surgery (open) in March and he is WONDERFUL!!!! In my opinion he is the best in the field....he is a true perfectionist in the OR. I have had no complications and in just short of 8 months I am down 127lbs. Harper hospital left a bad taste in my mouth, but most have a good experience. Congrats and the 30th will be here before you know it

Dr Wood is awesome. My opinion is he is the best . He did my surgery in April. I have had NO complications so far. I feel great and I have lost 81 pounds. I have no problems eating anything, but everyone is different. My stay at Harper Hospital was great, but again everyones exp. is different. You are in good hands with Dr. Wood. Good luck to you. Dr. Wood did my sugery (lap RNY) in May and I think he is wonderful. I have had no complications and I'm very happy with my weight loss (64 pounds so far). I had a great experience at Harper Hospital and hope you do, too. Karen

I had Dr Wood 3.5 years ago. I LOVE Dr Wood!!! I hear Harper is ALOT different then when I had my surgery. So I will not give you advice about Harper. Just remember to do EVERYTHING that Dr Wood says, he knows what is best! Good Luck!!!

I had my surgury in April of 2006. Dr Wood and the Cori center are wonderful!!! Its neen almost 8 months and I am down 98 lbs.!!! I have had no complications and it has been a wonderful experience all around. I just wish now that I did it sooner.

Thank you all. I feel much better now. I am just so excited I can't wait. ;-) What type of follow up does Cori center provide, because I they haven't contacted me about any support groups.

I had my procedure done 11/07/06 by Dr. Wood and he is absolutely the best! 2 friends and my mom previously had the procedure by different doctors which I met all of them, and Dr. Wood is by far THE BEST. Harper Hospital was also wonderful! Stephanie and Laura who fantastic as was Ken. I did not experience any problems whatsoever. Dr. Wood, along with Dr. Sapala, developed the Sapala-Wood Micropouch procedure, so you are in the best hands. Dr. Wood did my husband's surgery in September 2004. He has lost over 200 pounds and looks great. His procedure was open and he did have some hernia complications, but came through that just fine. Good luck!
