Weeping incision.

I had my tummy tuck waaaaaaaaaaay back in september and until this week my incisions NEVER leaked at all. I thought they were all healed up but now one of them leaks. The doc's office said it's nothing to worry about but it kind worries me anyhow. Does anyone else have any experience with this? Any words of wisdom to set my mind at ease... or cause me to insist on seeing the doc? thanks. -jk 3:41pm

Have you been working out a lot/sweating? When I did, it would aggrevate my incisions and they would leak and bleed. I'd get blood on my undergarments and tops. I basically had to let up on working out until I was a little further out. I was just doing cardio - power walking and running on the treadmill. Just a thought. Carey

i haven't exactly been working out but i've been pretending i'm a normal person and lifting things and exerting myself in other, more fun ways. i also took a bath and wonder if maybe it was too soon to do that. oh yeah, and i had the poop from hell that felt like it burst my incisions. tmi, i know. sorry.

You are killing me....LOL. Yeah you could say it's a little tmi. When is your next post op visit? Maybe that was a little too much strain! You should be able to at least call your Doc. Carey

Jay, mine did that and I finally found out it was a suture working through my skin. Got a little ugly until it worked out enough that I could pull it out. Started healing after that. Maybe that is your problem!

my sutures were supposed to dissolve on their own and it's right where i have some swelling from fluids. i hope i don't have that problem with the sutures. it's a little better today but i didn't "exert" myself today.
