When will it END???????????????

Oh the AGONY!!!! I've lost HALF of what I need to, down 68 pounds...only another 20 to go to meet my doctors' goal, but another 60 to meet MY goal.... and I'm at my son's school today and the JANITOR there makes a comment about do smells bother me since I'm PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've worked so HARD and lost so MUCH - do the Pregnant questions/comments EVER end????????? I was actually JUST starting to feel pretty good about the way I was looking..... WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (This won't get me down for long, but as you can see by the time... I AM Losing sleep over it!)

I remeber years ago when my mom was over my aunt's house, and my aunt's sister in law was there. Since mom knew that she was expecting, she innocently asked, "When's the baby due?" Gerri got red faced and replied, "I HAD IT FOUR MONTHS AGO!" I probably would have said something like, "and what makes you THINK I'm pregnant?" Ya always think of snappy come backs after the fact.... You keep doing what you've been doing...

I had something for you to say but I need to be a kinder, gentler person so all I can do is tell you sorry that someone could be so clueless. I think that is a subject you never start unless you are the pregnant person. I believe may dad gave me that bit of advice. Don't let it get to you. I can't tell you how often this has happened to me over the years, and it always hurts! The last time it happened I was in an elevator in a health care facility, with a person I recognized as a nurse from the floor below. She asked me "how far along" I was - - she didn't even bat an eye or apologize when I responded "I'm not - - I'm just FAT." Some people, huh? In the words of KP - - YOU ROCK! Sydney, I have lost 100 lbs. (50 more to go!) and people still think I'm preggers! I have a lot of skin in my belly area, so I think from now on, I'm going to take those new parking spots at Meijer's, the ones for expectant mothers! Hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! The more I lose, the more the wrinkles take over my face. (Also the parts that don't show, but just never mind my thighs and butt.) I get offered the senior discount now. I might trade that for an occasional pregnant remark.

Sydney, I remember my cousin telling me once I looked like I swallowed a basketball. I cried for days. I remember my father (yes, my father) telling me I would never amount to anything because of my weight. Yet here I am, a Baroness, and Marguerite is about to be Queen.......(((((oh sorry, reciting a line from the movie "Ever After")))).... Yet here I am, the only "female" engineer in my department, I've dropped 157 lbs since my WLS, had my abdominoplasty 3 weeks ago tomorrow, and can wear a size 12. Eat my shorts to those who make crude comments about anyone who has made a SUBSTANTIAL change in their life, health and well being!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simply put: THOSE WHO ARE IGNORANT HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO WITH THEIR TIME THAN PICK ON THOSE THAT THEY ARE JEALOUS OF. Don't let one persons ignorance get you down. You've come a LONG way baby and when YOU are on the cover of VOGUE magazine, buy a copy and autograph it for him and then you'll put him in his place!!! You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!
