I love His promises. Hi all. Well, I am exactly a week out from surgery and I am feeling a little better. I stopped obsessing about getting in 60g of protein and 64 oz of water. My stomach can only take so much. I am getting 20-30g of protein in and some water...some crystal light. I am trying to get on a schedule. The Lortab elixer gives me the scoots but I'l take that so the pain is eased. I have dropped 14 lbs since the beginning of my liquid diet and then surgery. I am not too excited yet about that...still tired and weak. I am sorry not to post too much....i've been somewhat weepy and don't want to be a negative nelley.! God and I had a lot of time together yesterday...lots of talks....and i feel a sense of renewal. I know this phase is just that....a season to a healthier me. All this pill crushing(puke), protein drink, no food stuff will pass......thank you all for your love and support. i don't know where I would be without this website. I'll keep you all updated as I feel better.

Lori, sounds like you are doing real well. It is about impossible to get everything you need in that first week. There just is not enough hours in the day. You will see an increase in your intake. You will also see a decrease in your weight. It all takes some time. It is normal to take this time and focus on your recovery. Even if that just means being in lurker mode. I can hear some real positive vibes coming through from you. I am glad you are feeling a sense of renewal. It can be so refreshing. Bless you and keep up the great job you are doing. Positive vibes Megan
