Newbie here
Hi Amy,
Which surgery are you having?
I had my RNY in March of this year, and I'm pretty happy with that decision.
The biggest tip you'll get is start finding foods high in protein and low in fat and start walking for exercise. The rest you'll pick up along the way.
Welcome to the neighborhood!

Hi Amy
Welcome to the board! I am over two years post op and very happy i made the decision to change my life. My best advice to you is to start reading all the profiles you can.....there's a lot to learn, good and bad. I had some major complications in the beginning but would go through it all over again to have such a wonderful life. You could not imagine how great life can really be. This is a major surgery, something to take lightly, some ppl even die. So start reading and research all you can, go to different seminars and be smart in who you pick for a surgeon. What insurance do you have? I had to fight over a year for approval. Where are you in michigan? Contact me anytime you need. We are all happy to have you here.
Hugs
Linda
