I never thought.....

I posted that I was home and doing well. I got two responses. I never thought that would happen, thank you to those who welcomed me home. I am amazed, is it because I am doing well I didn't get any more welcomes? I am speechless I don't know what to say. I like updating my profile and keeping track here. Maybe its no one has been on to see that I am home and doing well. I just don't understand.

Jackie: I'm sorry, I totally missed your first message. I've been offline a lot lately, so haven't gotten a chance to catch up on what I've missed. So glad you're home and on the road to recovery. If there's anything I can do just let me know. Not sure I'm the greatest for advice on post-op (since I'm still pre-op), I'm happy to offer whatever support I can. How are you doing with the post-op diet? Getting all your water in yet? Any problems or pain? Are you walking? Uhoh... I'm starting to sound like I'm nagging. Pam

Thank you Pam, that is so sweet of you. I am doing well with the diet I got in 52.5 g of protein today and 32 oz of water. The gas whoah the gas...........I have only had a couple of times it has been painful and they are right WALK WALK WALK. The only pain I have is the large incision where the port is. I am happy to answer any questions you have. I have posted on my profile the things I am going through but it isn't so bad as of yet. I am sure it won't be this wonderful all the time, I will have some issues but hopefully not. Thank you again for posting I appreciate that. Take care and GL with your surgery

Jackie, Sometimes I think it is all timing...... I have made posts that I thought would get no responses and got a ton of responses and other times the reverse... Could be and you were one of my welcomers girlfriend. I am focusing on getting better but I am bored stiff at home.......I really can't wait to go back to work. Isn't that strange? I was just a little taken back thought I would get floods but you could be right timing and all. Hope everyone is ok

I'm sorry Jackie, it's been hard for me getting my aol to load the last few days. so i didn't get much chance to answer posts. I am glad you're home and doing so well. I promise to try more, i just feel bad now, i know how important the support here is and always do my best to give as much encouragement as i can. Hi Jackie, Welcome home. I'm happy that so far all is going well for you. Remember to walk, sip and follow the rules of the pouch and you should do fine. If you ever begin to sense that something is not right like you feel pain that you can't explain, call your surgeon right away. That is my advice to everyone from now on. Sorry I haven't been able to post much lately, but with improving health that should change. Although I can't let myself become a slave to my computer again either ~everything in moderation~ except skydiving that should be done as often as possible God bless you, Annette

Jackie, I am sorry your feelings were hurt. Mine would be too. I havent been on the board for a few days and missed your post. I'm glad your home and doing well. We do care. Way to go! Welcome to the losing side GREAT job on your water and protien! I wasn't anywhere near that when I came home !!! The gas - oh my - I remember the gas.... lying on my left side helped it move for some strange reason.... Congrats! keep up the good work! Hugs Sydney
