THANK YOU VETERANS...
I just wanted to recognize our veterans today on Veteran's Day and thank each and every one of them for securing our freedom over the years. We appreciate all you have done (and are doing) and what you have given up. Many of you paid dearly in one way or another...and many still are. My father served in WWII...many stories he told, but many he did not repeat. Many of my uncles, brothers, etc. have served in the past as well, just as many of yours have. I know there are many of you with loved ones serving Our Country in Iraq right now, as we speak.....my nephew is there. It's tough, but so are THEY! I want to say this today...
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VETERANS, PAST AND PRESENT!
"God Bless our troops overseas, Dear Lord, keep them safely in Your care, as we continue to pray for a swift end to this war and a peaceful world in the future."

This is the first year in over 20 years I have NOT sent my Father a Veterans Day card, I was the ONLY 1 of 3 daughters who did that, he served in WW2 and was in the US NAVY.
Dad died in February 15, 2006 of cancer, and today, I salute not only him, but all the Veterans, past and present. In honor of our troops and those veterans still here today, whether serving overseas now, or back home, or whatever status, I would like to share the lyrics to the song that always holds dear to my heart, our armed forces. God Bless the USA.
If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I'd worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I'd thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can't take that away.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.
That I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
And I'm proud to be and American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
