I AM HOME!!

Everything went perfectly well. I have been keeping my liquids down and I can swallow. It is good to be home. I can start doing protein tomorrow. So I will make a smoothie and sip it. I was very impressed with Dr Schram. He is an awesome surgeon. He prayed with us before surgery. I woke up a little agitated but thats what pain meds are for. I walked to xray to make sure the band is in place. Dr Schram said it was perfect. I go back in two weeks. I don't anticpate any problems I am keeping fluids down. I met Kathy S she went home today too, shes a lovely lady. The gas wasn't as bad as I thought from reading some of the posts. Maybe its different for lap banders than by pass patients. I did have it just not severe. Sorry for the long post. I am down 6 lbs from the consult day. Jackie who now sits on the losers bench.

Congrats Jackie! I had my surgery on 10/23/06 with Dr. Schram also. It was great once I got there. My alarm clock did not go off I woke up at 6:30! I was supposed to be there at 6!! I have had a bit of a hard time with eating. I am sticking to the liquids through this week also. So far I am down 15lbs!! I feel a lot better already. I am very happy I went with the band! My husband went in 2 weeks prior to me and he is lost close to 30lbs so far! Here is to all of us on here and our new lives! :beer:
