I saw the doc last monday to get some of my stitches and drain out and lost 12lbs. I went to the docs today and had the rest of the staples and stitches out and I have lost 5.5 more for a total of 17.5 lbs!!! I will be two weeks out tomorrow so that is only 13 days!!!!! I am not having any difficulty with anything. I feel great. I am getting 60grams protein in and 65oz liquid. I am doing everything right and it is showing. Next week I go see the nut and exercize guy and start my workouts. I think that I will be put on mushy foods too, I just can't wait! I am walking now, only missed one rain day but did walk around the house then. Sorry to brag, but I am so happy, that everything is working. Just wanted to let all of you know how I was doing. Ann

Judy, I just keep my 20oz bottle with me at all times and take a mouthfull about every 3-5 minutes. I sometimes drink chrystal light, or fruit 2-o with some of the 15gr protein packs from my doc, I like the tropical and put in the strawberry flavor one. That is a nice change from the shakes. Actually I can't stand the shakes and haven't had too many since surgery. I am still on liquids, but next week mushy foods, and I have read on here a lot of people ate clam chowder, so I bought some and can't wait!

I HAVE MY WATER RIGHT WITH ME ALL THE TIME TOO BUT MAYBE I AM TAKING TO SMALL OF A SWALLOW????? SEEMS LIKE ALL I DO IS DRINK AND IT DOESN'T GO AWAY.... GUESS I WILL TRY BIGGER SWALLOWS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. WHEN I HAD THE CLAM CHOWDER I PUT IT IN THE BLENDER TO PUREE IT UP REALLY GOOD!!! I HAD IT AGAIN TONIGHT AND DIDN'T PUREE IT...WISH I WOULD HAVE...THE CLAMS WERE A LITTLE TOO CHEWY FOR ME. HUGS JUDY

You have every right to brag!!! I had my surgery 2 days before you and like you I follow my doctor's orders to the letter!! I have also lost 20 lbs in the first 2 weeks and was amazed as I didn't have to "work" at it. I have never had a problem getting my water allotment in, and the protein hasn't been a problem for me either! The 20th I get to enjoy pureed foods and I am watching the clock waiting very impatiently..LOL I'm sick of the shakes and all other liquids! Keep up the good work!

You are doing GREAT! I am a stickler for rules, and this time it is paying off. You have to wait till the 20th for pureed foods? I get to have them on the 14th and I thought 3 weeks was a long time. I can't wait, I am getting so sick of the same old stuff, I can't wait to have some meat! Keep up the great work.
