I hate Oprah. she makes so many women look stupid. I can't stand her. People take her advice when she makes great big general statements that have NOTHING to do with individuals. My ex lived and breathed by what Oprah said. Now she's a miserable old shrew. My ex, not Oprah. Probably Oprah too but maybe not. She's always got Steadman.

thank you. it was an amazing birthday, it started while at a great great English Beat show at the Magic Stick, then today i recieved some extremely touching and perfect b-day gifts from Melanie, Guitar Hero II from D, and then dinner at Andiamos (they have a "small plates" menu that's perfect for us GAPs) followed by a simply rockin' set by Robyn Hitch**** and the Venus 3 at the Magic Bag. They were awesome. And afterwards Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey (members of REM, Minus 5 and the Venus 3) autographed a Minus 5 CD for me. They even wrote Happy Birthday on it. I'm flying. Best birthday ever. Mel made it so. I love Detroit, the city rocks. Great concerts at tiny little venues. We had nothing like this in South Florida.

I have a lot of admiration for Kevin and the things he does for others- - I second everything that Jay said in his post. I would suggest that if you don't like him, don't read his posts!

I think this is very immature to post. If you had a problem with kevin you should have emailed him directly, not attack him on the board. I for one totally respect him and don't appreciate seeing these rude immature comments. Get a life. Linda
