I am having a hard time getting all my protein in per day. I had surgery on 10/10/06. I noticed that I have not lost that much weight lately. Is this because I am lacking protein? I am eating some other foods that I should not be like eggs. I should eat eggs next week and I started this week. I feel like the I am not loosing that much. Help please. Thanks, Kelly

Kelly, everyone is different as to how fast they lose. i would be careful eating ahead of schedule, i doube that eggs will hurt, but you dont want to push the pouch. are you drinking protein? that is the highest way, at your stage to get the protein in. 2 shakes a day is about 50g. i was doing 3 a day at your stage, just to make sure. hang in there, you will start to lose, just do your best to get your number of grams. i was at a standstill when i hit 2.5 weeks. didnt lose for almost 3 week, but that is pretty normal, the body is playing catch up. it has been through quite a shock. hang in there, take your measurements and write them down. good luck, teri

I've been collecting recipes for protein shakes. There are some really yummy-sounding ones out there that I haven't tried. Definitely worth the effort to get some variety - if you've got to drink 2-3 shakes a day, you want them to taste good too. I'll see if I have my recipe file with me here at work and post a few recipes that might help. Pam

Try Unjury. The chocolate tastes just like Nestle's Quik. This is what I use and it's wonderful. I have only tried one other kind of protein and I didn't like it. Also, have you tried Cottage Cheese. That has protein and it's easy going down. I ate alot of cottage cheese.
