I am 2 weeks out since my surgery and have been suffering from nausea most of the day. I am having a hard time with the protein drinks. I think I may be lactose intolerant. Maybe this is causing it or not getting enough fluids. I feel exhausted and have to force myself to drink. I know I am not getting enough fluids. I am trying but the nausea creeps in. Has anyone else had this experience or can offer suggestions. Please let me know. Tammy

Yep. Too cold, too hot, too much, too little, too fast, too much milk,,,, all of the above. Lactose was a problem for me. Also the cold made my pouch squirm. I used Land o Lakes Dairy Ease milk and I didn't drink it too cold or fast. It really settles it down. It gets better. kp

Tammy, I had my surgery a week ago. Among the various prescriptions they gave me on discharge was one for suppositories for nausea, that they told me to fill only if I needed it. I assume that means nausea isn't that uncommon. You should probably call your doctor's office and inquire. Marie
