I'm home and very tired
Thank you Kevin for the phone calls and posting an update on me. My daughter told me you called, but I couldn't call you back.
Thank you for all of the well wishes, phone calls, flowers, high protein foods, love, and most of all prayers that you all sent my way. I am proud to be a part of this wonderful family.
I am home now and feel much better than I did. After the first round of testing, the Dr. told me that my pancreas was shot, and he wanted the surgeon to talk to me. In the meantime he wanted to check my gallbladder and kidneys. Then check my intestines for any kind of a blockage. He also wanted to do an E.G.D. so he could see if anything was going on inside my pouch. I was told my Pancreas was shot, my Gall Bladder was good but the tissues surrounding it looks suspect ~something was going on in there. My kidneys and other organs look good. Inside of my pouch they found polyps. They did a biopsy on some of them to see if they are cancerous. I'll get the results from that in about 14 days. After a CT Scan, an Ultrasound of my abdomen, numerous X-rays, 3 rounds of blood tests, an E.G.D. 8 Heparin shots, 10 liters of Dextrose/Saline solution, and a ton of prayers, the Dr. told me today, that everything looks good there is nothing abnormal about any of my organs except the polyps in my pouch~ now that's what I call the power of prayer !) I am continuing to believe that I am already healed from the polyps and any harm they could possibly cause. I am feeling a bit tired so I'm going to bed now. Thank you all for everything. I really do love and care about each one of you. Please take care of yourselves.
God bless you,
Annette
Annette, prayer I believe can do amazing things. I used to be a real negative person and never even believed in hope. Over time I have witnessed to many things to make me believe like that anymore. I am glad you went and sought medical attention. KP was so right about not coming to the board about the pain....go tell a Dr. The pain is our bodies way of saying....yooohooo there is something wrong here.
Thanks for this post because I was just starting to have a pity party for myself. I just came home after having surgery last Wed for a perforated viscus. I am not sure why but I have no desire to eat or drink. I actually thought for the first time this morning, what the hell did I do? Was the original surgery a mistake? I finished my morning bathroom duties and this is the first post I read today. I am going to take it as a sign and turn my head around and grasp some hope here.
I am glad that the Drs are giving you pretty much a clean bill and I will bet you are healed also with the polyps. Best wishes and you will stay in my prayer box.
Positive vibes

Dear Annette,
Thank the Lord above that you are home. I was so upset in my heart to find out what happened that I just couldn't believe it. But at least now you are home, and thanks to KP for keeping us informed.
I hope that you get well soon and that the tests come back NEGATIVE and that all is good.
Keeping you forever in my thoughts, heart and prayers!
