OT: Halloween Costumes

Hey Everybodee: Now that I am down 100 lbs., I am actually looking forward to the costume parties this year. Any costume ideas? What are you guys dressing up as? Maria W.

I will be dressing up as a post op patient, home in bed/lazy boy recliner: Mom at the helm preparing my meals, etc., caring for my cat, etc. My costume is PJ's and warm blankeys and fuzzy slippers and hopefully, lots and lots of emails, phone calls, and visits from all my OH friends!!! Also: a great costume I'd wear if I were not a patient, would be a Renaissance Outfit complete with floral head wreath, and such, I also would love to wear a black leotard outfit and be a black cat complete with tail and whiskers that I wore when I was younger...much much younger!!! Oh my goodness, that's right. It's hard for me to believe your surgery is in 3 days! I have been extremely pleased with Barix (they did my WLS) and I have heard only top notch things about Dr. DiNick. Best of luck to you, and thanks for the Halloween ideas! Maria W.

I was a dark fairy for a Halloween party I went to last weekend. Basically a gothic tinkerbell. I have lost over 50 pounds in one month so I was looking to dress a little sexier than normal. It was fun and I won for best costume.

WTG! That sounds really awesome! Was it something that you put together on your own...or did you go to a store like Halloween USA???

I made it myself. Well I bought the wings and black face paint. I have a couple pictures of myself on my profile I just uploaded. I made the skirt and just wore this black shirt I already had. I think all together it cost me $13.
