Just 4 more days.....& YAY Tigers!!!

In just 4 more days I'll be in the hospital having an abdominoplasty, performed by Dr. Vincent DiNick, MD @ Forest Health (Barix) in Ypsilanti. I woke up this morning and my cold has just about gone away. I don't have that "cold" voice, and my nose isn't running out the door anymore!!! The apartment maintenance people are coming this morning to paint my kitchen, and on Friday while I'm in surgery, they are coming to lay down brand new linoleum. The linoleum on the floors now-- is about 30 some years old, brown and ugly with a capital U!!! It will be nice to come home to new flooring in my bathroom, kitchen and entryway!! YAY to the TIGERS for winning last night! I have a friend in St. Louis and the emails we are sending back and forth are hilarious. My new line to her though stands tall: TIGERS EAT CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Tigers!!! Thanks to Just_Jane for the conversation last night, thanks also to my buds and "sunglasses wearing gals" : Melissa and Phyllis for the great chats on the phone lately. Mom will be here day after tomorrow, we leave for Ann Arbor on Thursday around noon and will be staying at a hotel on State Street Thursday night.......then I'm off to the Hospital at 540am Friday morning!!! I notice that I'm not nervous, not anxious, just wanting to get to the "other" side already so I can start healing. I've got my days planned filled with sleep and slumber, and watching lots of tv, resting and eating Mom's home cookin!!!!!!!!!! We spoke last night and I feel like I have her wrapped around my little finger and whatever I want, she'd do. That's kind of cool.....actually. But not to worry - I won't take advantage of her...............too much!!! Hope everyone has a great Monday, what are your plans???????? I'm waiting for the maintenance people to come paint, then I'm off to see and play with Junior the darling Quarter Horse. I see Guns & Roses is playing at the Palace soon. Is this cool or what? Only four more days...time is flying. So you go in on Friday morning. How long do you stay there for afterwards? You have some great ideas for your recovery. There will be a lot of halloween specials on too. Very cool that you get to come home to new floors too. Especially after living with floor that is thirty years old. My monday is going to be spent getting my butt home....I am waiting on my discharge instructions right now. I am then going to copy all my lecture notes that I missed from my class last week. I will be finishing the night off with tons of studying for my midterm quiz tomorrow. I am going to skip my algebra class tonight. I do not think I can sit in one of the hard classroom chairs for 4 hours tonight. I am so glad I stayed over last week and did my test and all my assignments early. Gives me less to worry about in that class with all this happening. ((((((((((((((Stacey))))))))))))) thank you so much for the cheering up this weekend. You really helped. I would imagine 1-2 days tops, unless they need me to stay longer. Then I'll be either staying at a friends house, OR on my way home. Home is open to calls and visits after the first couple days..... Debbie Mier is my angel and will post when I am out of surgery and in my room ---Mom has the list of people to call. Debbie will post the info and if you want to stop in and see me probably Saturday would be best....ask Debbie to email you the personal info so you know. Thanks for all the support and hugs.
