Response back to you all about my boredom.

Last night on of the nurse techs brought me a box of nail polish. I spent about two hours trying nail polish on. She also let me have all the colors I liked. My foley came out yesterday morning, so I walk the halls everytime I have to go potty. My other co-worker just brought me our lecture notes, so I am goign to work on them and get ready for my mid-term on tuesday. The surgeon that did my scope and that repaired the perforation from the scope is not my bariatric surgeon. My surgeon is out of town and will be back sometime tonight. I am actually being held here until he sees me and clears me for discharge. I have to say that the dilation has seemed to work . I ate oatmeal today and it went down real well. So besides the tear and needing to be opened up like when I had the RNY, looks like the scope was overall a success. Linda I am adding you to my hoo...my sn is perkines Jay, I was making fun of kp but no one around me was getting the joke. LOL Hey Jo, I am in room 371-1....surprise me if you want. I am not the most entertaining person to hang with but I do have a private room and I found this tv channel that is actually a radio station. I have my music going and my laptop running. Diane, I am not sure there is a place for me to watch movies here on the surgical unit. I know the peds unit has dvd players but not sure about over here. I could always watch them on my laptop just not sure if it would be that comfortable. But hey I still have the PCA til tomorrow. Sounds like a great plan for when I get home. My husband is taking off the next week from work and that will leave us some snuggle time. I have decreased my pain meds. I also weighted myself this morning because I felt puffy. I have gained 11 pounds in 3 days and all I have had is IV fluids. Dr. decreased the rate on my IV also. I am crossing my fingers that I can go home tomorrow. Thanks for the thoughts and ideas....I am so glad you are here for me to sound off too. I can not believe I was so worrried about this scope not working...never dreamt it was going to turn out worse. HI I trtied to stop in for a minute when I was in the ER with my current problem child but had the Number 271 in my mind not 371. Hope you are feeling better all the time!!
