Walk with us, Sunday at Great Lakes Crossing

Linda asked me to repost this. Great Lakes Crossing has a walking group called michigan adventure walking club. Since kevin's doing his saturday walking at lakeside, anyone interested in walking sundays at great lakes? All you have to do is go to the information booth in district six to get a card and a free shirt. Then everytime you swipe your card you get 10 miles (not sure what you get with the miles though. You also get a 10% discount at some of the stores and restaurants there, they give you a list. So, who's up for walking this sunday? Ok now since I've only been there once and the map doesn't give the numbers does anyone know what entrance that's at? Jeanne

Wish there was a weekday evening when ya'll were doing this. I could stop over after work before heading home. But on the weekends I'm 90 minutes away! Have fun! Pam

Hi Pam I could meet you on the weekdays if you wanted. What time do you get off work? Let me know what day and time works best for you. I need all the walking i can get. I'd have to bring my kids, but exercise doesn't hurt anyone. Hugs Linda

Jeanne thanks for posting this. Actually sbc hasn't turned my dsl off yet for the other company to give me internet, so for today i'm still here. I don't know the number of the entrance i go in, but i usually go in at rainforest cafe'. i'll be there by ten in the morning. Can't wait to meet you. Hugs Linda

Jeanne i am so glad i went to the website to check it out. The mall doesn't open til 11:00 on sunday, so let's just meet then. I can meet you at Rainforest if you want, and i checked and it's at entrance 7 closest to I-75. See you soon I hope some others can join us too. Hugs Linda

I did see that it opened at 11 but I thought it might be like Macomb mall and let walkers in earlier. 11 is better I have a dinner dance to go to tomorrow night. Jeanne

we can't make it to Lakeside or Great Lakes this weekend but plan on doing both next weekend if possible. More than anything i want to meet as many of us as possible. I ran into Paul V. this week at the doctor's office and, believe it or not, it was the very first time i've run into someone i know since moving to Michigan! Crazy. After living in the same place for 25 years i'm not very good at meeting new people anymore. I want to make friends (lots of em!) here in Michigan. let us know how it works out and what those miles are for!

So is it going to be at 10:00am or 11:00am? I had planned on going and don't want to be there at the wrong time. I believe KP was talking about going as well. Jon
