Home From DS Surgery

Hi , my surgery was last Friday @ MMPC in Grand Rpaids.......Excellent care! surgery was 5 hours thye did the DS, hiatal hernia repair and the gall bladder was looking nasty, so that went too. Home on Monday.. Pain has been low for me. Getting 64 ounces of fluids along with 4 protein packets has been a challenge. Only 2 packets and not where close to the fluids should be......... Jay, I called the gla I knew that dealt in Bird rescue & she is no longer involved, doesn't know if anyone else that is... Linda T, thanks for the time you spent emailing me 2 nights prior to my surgery....... Connie

connie i'm so glad you're home and doing so well. It's hard to get the water and protein, it takes time to learn how to do. just keep on sipping and walk as much as possible, everything will come together in time. Let me know anytime you need. Hugs Linda

Thanks Linda, I know I'm not walking near enough, I'm still swollen form the surgery, but really think I was walking better @ the hospital than at home. I move about my home and try to go out am & pm.......Just didn't make it ltonight. night. I had the dreaded attack of diarrhea early this morning doing fine now. Connie

Ummmmmmm.... I think you were gone when I posted my date....... I have pre-op testing on 11/1 and my surgery is 11/27 I can't wait, I am so excited, even though it has not sunk in yet. I think it will all hit when I have my pre-op testing and my NUT class. Thanks for asking. Get some rest and get those fluids in.... Shawn M.
