Giving Up On Protein???
Hi Rhonda: I make a protein smoothie at night to keep my protein up around 80-100 grams per day. I just feel better with more than the recommended 50-60 grams. I also watch the calories, and eat my meat, eggs, etc... for all the other protein. You do have to eat you protein in different forms, not just one brand all the time. I use Dymatize Elite and get it from wholesalesupplements.com The smaller jars are on sale right now for $13.95, the five pound ones are on sale for $22.95. I like the Cafe Mocha, Chocolate Mint, and the Vanilla. The chocolate mint mixed with milk tastes like the Girl Scout Thin Mints. I see they now have a few flavors in the 10 lb containers, too for $36.95. They are only $5.95 for regular shipping for ANY WEIGHT, so that's a deal, too. Linda Ton got me hooked on the Dymatize and I found this website with a web search. Again, get as much as you can in regular foods and then just SUPPLEMENT with the protein. There are plenty of alternatives than the $125 per month! I have settled in at my current weight for the last 8 months, or so. I also had my muscle mass checked and am doing great with that per my doc, but I do weight resistance exercise, too. I also have to keep my calories up a little higher since I do the exercise thing, or I will lose too much. You know the right things to do, just follow the rules and you'll be fine. You do HAVE TO EAT! Don't trade off the fat for a eating disorder! Pam
