he's just a few weeks out. he will have more follow ups and meetings with nutritionists. when i was a few weeks out i went NUTS because of all the advice on these boards about how much protein and food i needed, finally i saw the nutritionist and she said at that point my pouch was sooo tiny there was NO WAY i could come close to that much protein and i should just be concentrating on getting enough water. each one of us is different and we all have our own journey. make sure you do what you need to do, don't waste your energy worrying about someone who is non compliant. he'll suffer his own consequences. we all do.

Hi Michelle...I agree with what everyone says here...Now is he going to any support group meetings?? Does he have a computer to come here to OH??? He needs to see what others are doing and he needs to get his act in gear before its too late!!! What a shame that he went through this only to abuse it!!! Hugs Judy

I take Unjury Chocolate protein and when I received my shipment it came with some pretty good literature. One of the articles was about how a man had drastic weight loss and was not getting enough protein in. Well when your body is lacking protein it eats away at muscle. This man kept having chest pains and they finally figured out that his body was eating away at his heart because it is a muscle. This has scared me enough that I am going to have protein if i like it or not!! In our pre-surgery class we were told between 60 to 70 grams of protein per day and anything else you have is a bonus....and good for you. I do 3 Unjury shakes. They have 20 grams of protein per shake and they taste wonderful. I also eat Jennie-O turkey burgers because they are 19 grams of protein. When I went to my 1 month appt. my doctor told me you have to eat and you have to get protein in!! They may have these articles posted on their website...may be worth looking into. Stacey B
