Hi Colleen: I am brand new to this and am waiting to have my lap band surgery by Dr. Jon Schram (Barix in Ypsilanti), hopefully by the middle of November. I have yet to figure out how to complete my profile, but I can tell you that I am jazzed about this, a little concerned about handling the drastic changes that will come post-surgery, but oh so ready to do this. I am 55 and live in Mattawan (10 miles w of Kalamazoo). I currrently weigh 281 and my goal weight is 142. It seems unreal to me that it will be possible to be about 1/2 of my current size, but that is my commitment. And you? Laurie G

I am also waiting for a date from this same clinic and doctor. What day was your consultation? I am just waiting for them to call me as soon as my insurance approval is done. I was there in late September. Thanks
