Denied TT w/ HAP

I really didn't have my hopes up to high with HAP so I must move on to a new Insurance Co. My husbands job does have different insurance options that I can chose from so the best that was recommended to me was BCBS. However, I do have questions about the out-of-pocket cost. I thought there was 80/20 split. That's a lot! But if someone can enlighten me that would be great. Any other suggestions would be helpful to.

Rochelle, did you go through the appeal process? I was denied too by HAP, and went through the appeal process. I did lose the appeal, but my advocate said that most people win their appeal, that I was just unlucky. I am going to try again this year and we will see. I have been going every 2 months to have my rashes documented this time, as that was the problem the last time. Carol

No, I haven't as I just received the denial letter yesterday. I don't know what's involved with the appeal process. I also don't have any documentation with my pcp. So, I really don't know where to start. I guess I should try.

About BCBS, yes they have 80/20 but you have to look at what your maximum out-of-pocket co-pay is. I have 80/20, but my out of pocket co-pay is $1000 per year after that everything is covered 100%. Make sure to ask that. Becky
