Secret Pal questions...

OK everyone.... I see so many postings on "Secret Pals". Can someone out there give me some info on secret pals...like how do you get one, or how you become one, and what it consists of? From what I have read, it sounds like so much fun, that I would love to be a part of it. Any information you can share with me would be greatly appreciated it. Hugs... Cheryl
