I went to get my staples removed today after my removal and replacemtn of my port.. dr says all looked good but because I have so much swelling yet, no fill for 3 more weeeks Ive been with none and now with 2 cc's which really does nothing for me, for two weeks already Ive already gained 5 pounds... I feel so afraid, so down, so helpless and so disappointed. YES, I know I can start back losing when I get another fill on oct 30th, but right now I feel like IM in a slump and am not finding my way out..

Stalls happen. I was in mine for 4 weeks after surgery, but once things started rolling again the weight has started to drop again. Hang in there. The stall will end and you will be on your way to a smaller you! Michelle

I did not have the banding done, but I can understand how you feel with the weight gain. You feel like a failure... Please know that you may have actually lost fat and gained muscle! A pound of fat and a pound of muscle will weigh the same, but the muscle will take up less space!! That is what you want!! I hope things get better for you....

It's time for you to take charge Cathy. This is the exact reason i didn't do the band. You have to get strict with yourself! No junk food or sugar, load up on water, and lean protein is always first. The more protein, the less junk goes in your mouth. Make sure it's protein, then fruits or veggies, and carbs are always last. Get out and walk, walk , walk. The busier you stay the less you will think about food. For snacks get sf popsicles or sf fudgesicles. You are in charge, not your surgeon. You are not helpless. You control what goes in your mouth, so if your dissappointed it can only be in yourself. Now change your attitude and say "I can do this" . You'll be surprised how well you can actually do. Hugs Linda

Sorry, that didn't sound right. I didn't mean i didn't do the band cause you have to take charge. What i meant was i didn't do it cause it's so much trouble getting fills and stuff and you can still eat what you want. But now is the time for you to take charge and be accountable for what you put in your mouth. Eat right and make it work. I dont' want to sound mean either, just trying to help you out. Hugs Linda
