Almost there!

I got a copy of my Dr. Letter for recommendation. All I need is my physch eval results. I called them today and they are pushing for the end of the month to get my results. Has anyone else taken the test with the cazillion questions? If you are normal are they pretty easy to pass? Becky

Hi Becky, They are just common sense questions, asked several different ways! I thought it was pretty dumb myself, but hey If I can fool the test anyone can....LOL. Congratulations on the first of many steps in your journey to the losing side. It is soooo worth it. God Bless and take care----Toni

Yep the psych eval was pretty simple. I went to Dr. Williams at the Hurley and he was really nice and very informative. I had the results before I left his office. The questions are pretty straightforward and you should do fine. Some of them might "seem" like trick questions, but just think of them in a literal sense and don't try to read too much into them. From what I can tell they are just making sure you don't have any specific issues that would cause you to have problems with the surgery (uncontrolled eating disorders like anorexia, alcholism or drug abuse, etc.). They also want to make sure you're having the surgery of your own will - not being cohersed by someone else. Good luck! Pam

Rebecca...everyone takes the same test. Its 567 questions. Just mark the first thought that comes to you. Don't try to trick it. they just want to make sure your elevator goes up to the top floor...know what I mean? Some people aren't mentally capable of going thru a surgery as involved as this one. you will do fine if you just keep in mind that they just want to make sure you aren't a psycho or something!LOL. there is no pass/fail. A lot of the questions are repetitious but worded differently. They just want to make sure you answered the similar questions with the same answer...thats why you can't lie. I'm not incinuating that you would, but oh heck...just don't worry. Have fun with it and relax! I'll be praying for you. Good luck and let us know how you are doing thru the process of approval!
