I went to Meijer (or local grocer) and picked up some baby foods, squash was my favorite, no meats, some peas, and some bananas, also I had low sodium cream soups that didn't have chunks, I did cottage cheese and mashed it with a potato masher, also I did wendy's chili in the blender but a warning, it don't look nice but tastes the same, and also I did a little bit of ground crumbled turkey meat with some mashed potatoes and gravy in the blender. Broths in mashed potatoes adds flavor and makes it palatable, also it was a challenge but you become creative to what your tastes and tolerance is. I could not do tuna or canned meats (dont eat either) so I did ground turkey and mixed it with what I mentioned above...also use some baby foods to mix with stuff in the blender. I found that V8 low sodium was extremely appealing warmed up. Hope this is some help to you Stacey W

Brandie, My surgery was 3 years ago..I never did the puree thing. I just ate lots of "smooth" things and did fine. Yogerts, cottage cheese, mashed pot and gravy soups, protein shakes jello and puddings. Best of luck, Robin
