Anyone know about Dr. Zeni?
The whole bari program at St Mary Mercy is great. The training from the staff gave me the answers to so many questions I've seen asked on these boards.
Dr. Zeni is personable, explains what he is doing and, based on my new gut feeling, is an excellent surgeon. He spent a good deal of extra time during my surgery clearing up som old adhesions. He found my father in the waiting room and sat down with him to explain the surgery and what results to expect. I have had no problems with the surgery. I did have a reoccurance of a heart problem a week out from surgery and he was quick to respond and to monitor my condition. Again, not his fault I had the atrial fib, but he was VERY helpful. He answered a page within ten minutes on a Friday evening, amazing.
Anyway, his training and experience look good and I can't fault the results. Paula runs the program and she is one of us. Questions are answered promptly and kindly. Support groups (monthly) are fun and entertaining. Oh yeah, educational too.
Hospital care was good, the staff on that floor has had special training to help us. All in all, a very positive experience.
