OT: Plus Size Clothes
Hi Everyone,
I'm going to Michigan for my 3 month follow up at Barix tomorrow and know that there is a Meijer's Plus and a Target not too far away. I was wondering who has the best selection of plus size clothes and the best values? I'd like to shop a bit and I would just like your opinions!
Thank you Michiganders!

Hi Dawn,
It depends on what kind of clothes you like. Target is more trendy, but they run just a little small.
Personally, I don't like Meijer's at all. Their clothes are not good quality, and are cut horribly.
Kohl's is great for plus stuff. They look nicer, but are more on the pricey side.
I had my surgery 6 months ago and I have been just investing in one pair of work pants and one pair of jeans as I move through the sizes.
Have fun shopping!

Hi I've never been fond of Meijer or Target for clothes, but then again, I have not been buying new clothes since I lost weight...I go to Goodwill here and buy 2nd hand clothes for now....Losing weight I can't seem to find what I'm looking for at stores....however I do like and have liked JC Penneys for some clothes. Bit pricey but then again, I'm worth it and so are you!!!
Try JC Penney, check out K-Mart, and depending on $$$, Fashion Bug...they have both teens, regulars and plus but sometimes its pricier than JC Penneys.
Have fun!!

I try to shop cheap. I look for the sales. I went to J.C. Pennys this Saturday and they had an awesome sale. I bought a couple of pair of jeans for 12 bucks each. a couple of shirts for 3-5 buck each. And a girl friend of mine who had the surgery a while ago told me to shop at one of those cheaper stores like DOTS I found a few things for reasonable. My goal is not to spend more than 15 bucks for one item. The only thing I had to spend a little more money on was a winter coat. But I even went to VALUE CITY for that and I only paid 35 bucks for a TOMMY HILLFIGER coat. I hope that helps

I go to Penneys for pants and Meijers for jeans - a couple pair of each size. Most of my tops I have been going to Second Time around in Okemos (east of Lansing). They have nice second hand clothing - they are very picky about what they take. I have gone from size 24 to a 10/12. If I shopped at regular stores I would be broke by now. I have also gone to Salvation Army and places like that but they are usually pretty picked over. I also have taken the nicer stuff back to Second time around and that has helped pay for about half of the clothes that I have bought. Have fun...
