Hair Loss??
Hi Michelle,
I always heard that if you were going to lose your hair it would happen during the first 3 to 6 months. At 6 months out with no hair loss I thought I was home free. at 7 1/2 months out I started to notice a little more hair in the comb, by 9 months out I was losing my hair at an alarming rate. About a month ago I started taking hair, skin, and nails formula from G.N.C. I'm very happy to say it works! I am back to a normal amount of hair in my comb. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my new hair cut. The thing is I never got my hair cut~It just fell out. I have also been told that by a year out your hair should look about the same as before surgery, Providing you haven't changed it. I hope this helps.
God bless,
Annette
Michelle....my hair loss started at right around three months. It did grow back in and I'm loving the new style I wear now, never thought I could wear my hair like this cause my face was so fat. I used AlphaParf, I got this from my hairdresser and I'm here to tell you it really does promote hair regrowth. It worked wonders for me. You can also order it online, just type in alpha parf and I think you'll bring up the site.
Good luck on your journey and the hair loss thing is just a really small stumbling block, it's fixable.
Huggssssssssssssssss,
Frankie
Hi Michelle:
I'd be glad to share my experience with you!
But, as the ol saying goes...everyone's different.
I have always been very good about getting my protein in, and by month 5 figured my lovely locks were safe. Oh boy was I wrong! By month 6, my hair started falling out in droves and it's only picked up pace since then. (I am currently 10 months out.) Just this week I starting taking Biotin so I can't report whether or not this actually helps. But, I am hoping so...and I am trying not to worry. Once my system levels out, it is my belief/understanding that the hair should come back. (My iron is also a little low and I have hypothroidism, both medical reasons for hair loss, coupled with the fact that I have rapidly lost weight...phew...that's rough on our bodies.) It will be interesting to see what happens in another month or two. Regardless, I am very, very pleased with my surgery and wouldn't change a thing.
Congrats on your 55 pounds!
Maria W.
