Connie, those aren't bad choices. I really liked the barbecue soy nuts (still have them and eat them). I can't do oatmeal, no way, no how. I think everybody's taste is different. I was not looking forward to the chili & spaghetti but they really weren't bad if you nuked them for a bit longer and let them set an extra minute to "make". I lived on the chocolate pudding/drink but the best ones that I loved were the ready to drink. They tasted really good to me but just didn't last long enough.

Thanks everyone. I cannot choke downt he speghetti. I mostly have been eating Oatmeal, chicken soup, peanut bars are good. I drink alot of water and sugar free kool aid. That speghetti makes me sick. I felt like a kid but I could not eat it. Thanks everyone for all the help and ideas. 11 more days

Congratulations on your up coming surgery! I hated the 2 weeks prior to surgery as well. My strategy was to keep so busy I wouldn't think about food. I couldn't stand the soups or spaghetti. I lived on the carmel nut bars for meals and had jello and hot chocolate often. I have been told that if you add the soy nuts to the chili it is good. I didn't try it myself but sound like it could be ok. One trick I used was to buy unbranded crystal lite and pour it into icecube trays and eat those. It gave me the "sweet" taste that I had been craving and it also was something solid. I know by the time I had my surgery I was sick of the lemon crystal lite. I also chewed gum and SF mints. Best Wishes,

Thank you so much. I never thought of SF gum. Its hard for me at work during the day when I am used to snacking ..gum would work great. Thanks again and congrats to you. Way to go. Kelly

Hi, All I had to do to shrink my liver pre-op was go on a full liquid diet 2 days before and then clear liquids the day before the surgery. Why do you have to eat this food? Do you have to pay for it? I've never heard of anything like that but I guess it's something your surgeon recommends considering all the responses you got from people that went thru it. Good luck on you're upcoming date, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Rachel
