ONE OF MY GOOD FRIENDS IS HAVING HER TUMMYTUCK DONE SAME DAY WITH DR ELLEN TOO, THIS WAY WE CAN BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER. I AM A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT GOING IN FOR MORE SURGERY BUT REALLY NEED TO GET RID OF THIS PANNI AND WINGS. MY CURRENT WEIGHT IS 178 LBS HAVE LOST 165 LBS IN JUST OVER 12 MONTHS. I AM SMALLER NOW THAN I HAVE BEEN SINCE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. EVERYONE TAKE CARE.

Lynn,
I had Dr. Ellen and she (and her PA's) are great. I had a TT with muscle tightening and a breast reduction and she took great care to do everything right (she is a perfectionist). She went out of her way to do things that I know the insurance didn't even reimburse her for just to make sure that the over all result was good. Make sure you have lots of pillows to help you laydown on an incline and put some under your knees to keep you from stretching out completely (not comfortable in the early days). Best of luck to you and your friend!!! If you have any other questions just let me know!!

Thanks Mary. I also thought her and her PA and her patient care coordinator Shannon were great. Thanks for the hints about the pillows, I didnt even think about that. My friend had her pre-op appt yesterday, mine is next Tuesday. I have really good feelings about these surgeries just very nervous about the pain and I just hope everything goes well and that I think it was worth it. Do you think it was worth it? Did you have everything done at the same time? Where did you have your surgery? Mine will be at WBH Troy. I am just really nervous about having it there because my Mom passed away there this past May. I havent even been past the hospital since then, and this was usually the hospital I went to. But then I think maybe it will be a good thing to have this there and that my Mom will be watching over me. I know this sounds dumb, because of course my Mom will be watching over me wherver I have surgery done, just a little weirded out about it. Sorry to be rambling just a little newvous. But would it be ok to email you if I have any questions before and especially after surgery? Thanks for your help.

Lynn,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom, but I have no doubt she will be there watching over you. I also had mine at WBH-Troy and they were wonderful. My only issue is I swear they must keep the IV's in the refridgerator until they hook it up to you and it made my arm hurt. They wrapped it in a blanket and told me they would leave the next one out for awhile before switching it. Both of my procedures were done at the same time and I am so happy I did it that way instead of dragging it out. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I really didn't even take too much pain meds after the first few days. You will be tired and uncomfortable and probably not wanting to eat very much or drink much, but make sure you get your vitamins, iron and water in. Basic things like showering or walking will tire you out quickly so make sure you rest a lot. I know I felt like something was gonna just pop open, because everything was pulled so tight (I couldn't even walk standing straight for the first six weeks), but it never did. I was always happy that I had it done and never doubted that it would get better and it did day by day, but I didn't get to where I felt "normal" again for about 9 months. Email me anytime!!!

Lynn,
Dr. Ellen has done all of my plastic surgery (tummy tuck, arms, lower lift with inner thighs and breast lift). I absolutely love her and her staff. She does amazing work and has always been there for me afterwards. I only had one small complication with my lower lift and thighs. I developed an infection by my left knee. She was right on top of it and put me back in the hospital for iv antibiotics. It cleared up within twenty-four hours and I was back home. Everything went great. I have my last follow-up appointment with her in December and I will honestly miss seeing her after that. If you have any questions or need anything, please let me know. Fran
Hi Fran,
Thanks for your reassurance!! I really liked her and her staff and I have always herad good things about her so I didnt even heave any other consults. My friend that is having surgery same day as me had a few others and I went with what she had to say also. I will definitly contact you if/when I come up with questions. Right now it just seems so surreal and is happening so fast, but since I am not working now I figured it was the best time to do this. SO I will keep you informed and again thanks for the support.
Lynn
