Big Rapids

Well, no one from MMPC has called me back. In Dr. Foote's newsletter there were specifications to be a facilitator. You had to have at least 6 months since your surgery and other things. I know I only have 3 months in. This would also mean that we couldn't have other WLS people from other surgeons join us. How about we have our own support group. Maybe just get together once a month or so. The problem is, the place I thought we could use won't let us since we're not a "certified" non-profit. Would you be upset if we met at a local restaurant? I don't know of any other place we could get together. I thought about down at Public Safety but they charge for their room and they don't owe me enough favors. I will keep searching if you want me to, just let me know. We'd also have to pick a day and time when we might be able to get together.

OK, I have a meeting place. The new director of public safety says he has a room that's never used at night and we can have it at no charge. Now, we need a day and time. what do you think?

You betcha!!! Count me in! I'm ordinarily up at the Big Rapids office on Wednesday, so that would naturally be the most convenient day for me. But I am flexible, so let's see what works best for everyone. Evening hours would work best for me since I do work during the day, as I'm sure many others do. I don't actually mind meeting on a weekend day either if it's only once a month. This sounds very exciting and I'm PUMPED about it. Wednesday evening is good for me too. I hope we can get some other people to come.

Hi Ann, WOW....I would love to join you, but of course it is way to far for me to drive. Sounds fun though. I keep thinking of getting something like that together around this area for us down here.
