ANOTHER STUPID QUESTION???

Thank you for all the posts yesterday about the food. I had fish sticks and a potato wedge for dinner and it was wonderful. I had 1/4 grilled cheese for breakfast and it was wonderful!! It's the small things that make us happy!! LOL Anyway my other problem is that everything I drink has a horrible taste. Water tastes like metal. Why is that? I have tried crystal light, crystal light 50/50, juice 50/50, s/f lemonade, diet Arizona Iced Tea, Iced Tea I made myself using Splenda, Light Hawaiian Punch made with Splenda....I don't know how I'm supposed to get my liquids in if everything tastes like metal!! Any ideas?? Stacey

Stacey you are in ketosis. That is when your body is forced into burning its own fat. So it's a good thing . You will probably notice an odor too. When you are in ketosis you lose very fast, so enoy it while you can. Hugs Linda

I knew something was going on. Yesterday was 4 weeks and I am down 82 pounds!! Hooray for me!! Is this odor a breath or body odor? I'll have to get some s/f mints and extra deodorant!! LOL

the odor comes out any way it can. the mouth, the skin, the backside (what's that smell???)

That's just great. Another one of those things that happens that's not in my patient manual. I should be used to this by now! LOL

Hi Stacey....definitely NOT a stupid question. In fact I had the same one a few weeks ago. I called my surgeon's office about it and they were concerned it might be a yeast infection and advised me to look at my tongue and make sure it wasn't coated. If yours is coated, contact your Dr as soon as possible. Those infections are NOT fun. They told me I was getting enough carbs and shouldn't be in ketosis....just another thought to be on the safe side. When in doubt always check with the doc! Take care!! Jan
