B12
Hi everyone,
I have tried about 10 brands of sublingual B 12, and none of them "melt" under the tongue. After about 20 minutes I end up chewing it just to get it down.
Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know of a brand that actually dissolves?
Also, I know there was a post here a few days ago about how much B12 is average to take. Does anyone remember what number that was?
Thanks!
Brenda
mine don't dissolve if they're the first thing i take in the morning. once i've had something to eat or drink i must have more saliva in my mouth because then they dissolve quickly and easily. try drinking something right before taking them.
and i believe there's no set average for any of us as we are all different with different amounts bypassed and with bodies that work differently to compensate for the bypass. my surgeons just kept adjusting my doses until my bloodwork came back with a normal range. i had a small bypass but require a LOT of supplemental b-12. weekly injections were not even working for me.
Thanks Kev,
Where do you get yours from? what brand. Oh and I never got back with you a few months ago, when I had to go to ER with bad stomach pain. Anyways Dr.S told me it was probably the raw pinapple I hate, and that I was "full of *&**".. man he is funny, isnt he? Anyways I told him you were gonna laugh when I told you what he said was wrong with me and he said to ask you about the Peanut butter sandwich????
..............Now I take fiber everyday and only eat whats on that plateau buster diet, and hernia I got.

Peanut butter sandwich, huh?????? He's getting a lot of mileage out of that..
Yeah I ate one and it got stuck. I've had one once a week for months and I get one jammed bad back in April. Real bad....
Anyway. I get my drops from Meijer. Sunhappiness or something like that.
Nature's Bounty!!! That's it!!
I'll peanut butter sandwich his ass. He's a funny guy. HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHA. Nothing that a little Phospho Soda in his beer can't fix at the next Pistons Game.

Well, I have not had my surgery yet, so I don't really know. I am also bipolar and slightly on the up side and have energy, so it is hard to tell. I am just taking low doses of the vitamins and stuff now so I am in the habit of it when I do have my surgery. Sorry I couldn't help more with your question.
