OT: update

I know i told you all i'd update you after i took my daughter to a surgeon. It was bad enough i haven't been sleeping and had been working since 7am. I came home got my daughter (didn't get to eat) went to the elementary school to pick my two other girls up , get to the surgeon around 4. He comes in the room around 5, touches where my daughter says she hurts (left kidney area) and tells her to jump up and down. He then tells me he don't think she needs surgery and needs to see a gastro doctor. My pcp has tried prilosec already, it doesn't seem to be gastric. I ask him why he would say that, he said it could just be growing pains? Do you think i was nice after this? He didn't get paid either. i am waiting now for my pcp to call me back, i am not happy. Linda, Go with your gut instinct....it sounds like you know what is best for your daughter. I had to go through a lot of "bad" doctors with my son, until I finally found ones that would listen and respect both of us. Don't give up, there are good docs out there that will help you find an answer. Brenda

Hang in there Linda I understand what you are going throught since I just experienced it to when I was searching for answers with my WLS. Be strong and do not let them push you around because your daughter health is the most important. Wishing you the best on your journey to find the right doctor who will help. Tricia

I tell ya,, I'm at a complete loss as to what to say. I was thinking about this situation this past week when one of my kids was talking about an unexplained cramping. He tells me it comes and goes and his parents haven't been able to get a positive diagnosis. I couldn't even begin to understand what you are going through. Positive vibes. kp

Linda........Never, ever, give up! I am going to tell you what my daughters first pediatrician told me (and I should have listened). Know one knows your child better than you. Follow you heart and instinct. I am not going to get into details......but.....I gave in to what others were telling me because after awhile you start to believe what you are told, even though in my heart I knew it wasn't right. It turns out, my heart was right and I do know my child best. SO FOLLOW YOUR HEART AND INSTINCT.....YOU KNOW YOUR CHILD BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE!
