Support Group - Big Rapids area?

Do any of you know if there is a support group in the Big Rapids area for MMPC patients? I attended a support group with my sister-in-law last Tuesday, but was told very bluntly that it was ONLY for patients of Dr. Scolten and his asssociate. I was a little scared that I might get physically tossed out in the street. We are going to be moving soon to the Greenville area and my office is in Big Rapids. It would just be more convenient for me to go to a support group there. Thanks for any information you have. I'll check with MMPC next week too, but we are leaving tomorrow for a long weekend. Hi Bonnie: I live and work in BR and am familiar with the "support" group that you recently attended and can say that I was shocked and amazed at the way I was treated also. Anyways...now that I have vented that little frustration...to the best of my knowledge, that is the only one here. I, too, would LOVE to go to a support group but the closest one for Barix is GR. If, in your travels, you happen to run across a non-denominational (teehee) support group that is closer, please let me know. Maybe we could go together. Good luck and take care! Maria W.

Hey, maybe we can have our own MMPC group meeting here in Big Rapids. I didn't know that was an "exclusive" meeting. It would be a lot easier for me to attend a different night since I already have another meeting at the same time. I think there's a few of us in this area that we could get together. I know a place where we could have a meeting. I'll send an email to MMPC to see if they can help us too.
