Dear Ann, Honey you just had major surgery and you should feel so tired that you feel exhausted. Your body needs lots of rest and lots of sleep for recovery. Sleep when you feel tired, don't stay awake because you think that's what you are expected to do. When you pass the two week mark post surgery, you will or at least I did and so many others too, you'll feel like you absolutely turned a corner. You're going to feel that much better, I suspect anyways. Are you getting in your vitamins and as much water as possible?? You need to do the best you can at getting in your protein too. At this stage it's almost impossible to get in what is minimal but at least try to get in as much as you can, your body also needs these things to heal. Give yourself a little time, but if you think that your exhaustion is beyond what you feel it should be or even if you are worried then you should by all means see your doctor for some possible bloodwork or even reassurance. Best of luck in your amazing journey to the other side. Huggsssssssssssss, Frankie

It will get better. Just get as much of your water in and as much of your protein as you are able at this point. I had extreme exhaustion....felt like I could hardly walk from room to room. I did end up having anemia and had to have iron infusions, but that was later on in the game. You have just had major surgery....nap when you can and sip, sip, sip. Best wishes to you.
