8 days post op!!
Hi everyone,
I'm finally home. I stayed at my mom's house the past 5 days and it really helped me recover. (she helped me with my 2 1/2 yr old and also has a shower stall and a craftmatic adjustable bed, which really helped me a lot) I'm moving around now without almost any pain and now weigh.....................235!! 8 days ago I was 245. This is amazing!! From what I've been hearing, many people lose 50 pounds in the first 2 months and then it slows down after that. 50 pounds and I'll be out of the 200's for the first time since late 2003!! I can't wait!! I want to thank everyone that posted to my profile and thanks for all the prayers!!
Right now I'm eating sugar free oatmeal, pudding, (yogurt and milk aren't tasting good) and soups. Any ideas for a full liquid diet because I'm getting so bored!!
Soups, of course. The cream ones you won't be eating later. I found Campbells Cheddar Cheese soup and only diluted it a little. Of course I ate small servings, but it got me through to the Taco Bell beans and cheese and Wendy's chili stage. Cream of Wheat or Malto Meal works for some, not me. Cream of mushroom or chicken can get whirled enough in the blender or Bullet to be okay now. I actually bought, but never ate, crab bisque and cream of onion. I don't know what possessed me. A little V8 low sodium might be good, and you can always go backward to sugar free jello and those yummy bullion cubes.
But don't expect to lose 50 in the first two months. It may happen, but if it doesn't, you will be looking at a big disappointment. Just take it as it happens, you're on your weight loss honeymoon, you want it to last!
