2 weeks post opp

hi all here i am 2 weeks after and I'm just getting on here for awhile , things went OK at the hospital nurses was Great so was the doc ,i came home 3 days after then when i got up to use the bathroom i was leaking out some yucky stuff out of my incision it smelt real bad to i went into emergency and i had some kind of affection so i was in for 4 more days but home now u have to pack gauze into my stomach twice a day let it dry then pull it out ,talk about pain!!!! but it is closing i have to keep doing this until it is healed from the inside out, but even after all this i would do it again in a sec!!!! I'm on stage 4 can eat cream soups ,pudding you all know the drill.. but as i say I'm doing better every day only prob i have is diereia Ive had it since Sig ,maybe it is the antibiotics or just what i have been eating but hey i will live..lol but anyway i am now a looser!!!!!!! i go back to the doc on fri to get the drain thingy out (hope that don't hurt to bad) but after packing my stomach it can not be worse then that..lol but anyway thanks for all your prayers and best wishes I'm on the mend!!! hugs to you all...Ed

Hi Ed!!! I was hoping you would post soon! I was wondering how you were doing. Sounds like you are doing well....the infection you developed after was a bummer, but not insurmountable. To me, taking the drain out was nothing. I hardly felt it....felt like a squirmy worm moving for about 2 seconds, then it was out! As for the diareah(sp?), it's probably just what you are putting in....put in liquids, out comes liquids, and so on. So now that you are moving forward with your diet, soon that will not be an issue. Then you'll probably be with the rest of us and be constipated!! Anyway, really glad to see you posting! Meeting is this coming Monday, although I'm not sure you're up for the ride, but if you are, we'd love to see you! Heal well! Hugs, Theresa
